Trying To Find Better Lamps, Finding An Interesting Book and An Old Friend Stops By To Visit.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

We once again were up before the alarm this morning which guarantees that we can take advantage of the Free Continental Breakfast. As mentioned in yesterday’s Blog post even though the Warranty Repairs are not costing us we have to pay for our own lodging and the cost in the last year has Skyrocketed. We had offers to stay in our kid’s basements. We figured that they are still dealing with growing children who attend school along with the stress of their own jobs they didn’t need to be putting up with us being there.

When we got back to our room after breakfast I called and left a Voice Mail with Stephanie at Leisure Trailers. Last night we’d been talking about what we saw on the trailer yesterday and realized that neither of us paid attention as to whether or not a particular repair had been made.  Within ten minutes Stephanie called back saying that it was going to be fixed in the Body Shop today.

Even though we are trying to minimize running around after doing our morning reading we were started feeling closed in. A short while back I installed Marker/Signal Lamps on the side of our trailer that I am not too happy with because the moisture is getting inside the lens. I thought we could go over to Bogar’s Truck Parts and Service on Huron Church Road to see if they still carried the ones that I installed on the truck over five years ago. If anyone would have them they would so while Kathy read in the car I checked their stock out before asking for assistance. In this last year they have discontinued carrying the type that I wanted and are only carrying the ones that are causing me problems. I’ll have to look around at a Truck Stop to see what they have.

We stopped at Tim Hortons where we had their Chicken/Bacon Wrap for lunch. We also spent time just people watching before heading over to Chapters Book Store at the Devonshire Mall. It has been quite some time since we have gone there so we made a point of looking at lots of different books but only walking out with a 785-page Non-Fictional book about the Mafia.

We were back in our room shortly after 4:00 and just did what we could on the Computers. With not having access to a kitchen we are forced to do a lot more then we prefer doing but when 5:00 rolled around we went to the Southside Bar and Grill down the hall. The waitress gave us points cards the other day so we should be getting a discounted meal before we leave. While having our meal an old friend Charles that used to know Kathy when she was still working stopped at our table to talk for a while.

We are trying to have current pictures but being cooped up in a Hotel Room seems to drain our ambition and with the warmer temperatures returning we won’t be as active outside. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Bill reads a lot of Mafia stories. What's the name of the book?

  2. It's hard enough to stay in my rig all day with comfortable chairs and a kitchen. I can't imagine being cooped up in a hotel room. Looks like you are handling it well!!
