Early Start, Selling Stuff, Meeting New Neighbours and Crazy Weather.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

When the alarm went off at 6:30 this morning I had to rush back into the bedroom to shut it off. By that time Kathy was already sitting on the edge of the bed wondering what was going on. It was the alarm doing its job waking us at the time that it had been set for. Getting up much earlier then what we normally do meant our breakfast and the rest of our meals would be changed for the day.
Sunrise in Quartzsite this past winter.
Minutes after 7:00 I was heading outside to start setting up our folding table so that items we had chosen to sell could be displayed easier. Then Kathy was coming outside to join me with a few of the items in her hands instead of waiting for me to just carry the entire box out at one time.
Cloud Formations were amazing.
I then turned my attention back to our garden shed where the rain we had gotten last night had stopped me from getting things readied for this Sale. This was the day that Wildwood Golf and RV Park opened their gate to outside visitors to their Annual Yard Sale. This allowed anyone that resides in the Park the chance to sell things they felt they no longer needed.
Not all sunsets are the same.
The sun was shining brightly but there was a cool Wind that made everyone bundle up. There were Park residents that drove by in their golf carts that never raised the rain curtains in order to keep warm. There were a number of others that stopped and looked but walked away empty handed. This brought back memories from when we were getting ready to sell our House years ago but at a smaller scale.
Roller Coaster roads.
With this being the first long weekend of Camping in Canada for many that are still working we started seeing some of those people coming to see what we had. With our prices marked to sell the items that were purchased went for the asking price and they walked away with smiles on their faces.
A little rain floods the roads.
As Kathy and I sat outside in the cool fresh air after getting up early it was neighbours coming over for short visits that helped stop us from falling asleep. We even had a chance to meet new RVers Paul and Tina that live down our street during the summer and spend their winters in Calgary. They just enjoy the winter season too much rather then going south. By 2:00 the sky was filled with dark clouds and the Sun had gone into hiding so we packed away the few items that remained.
Driving the trails in the desert.
We needed to go back to the Essex Home Hardware Building Center so we headed out. We had to exchange a drip tray for one of our potted plants because the one we got yesterday was too tight a fit. We also picked up a small folding table that we will be able to use for our printer. That table will eliminate the need to put the Printer away after we use it each time.
A Colourful Sunrise at Quartzsite.
With the forecast of Rain for this afternoon we didn’t feel like cooking anything at the trailer. Instead we stopped at McDonalds and enjoyed a Sweet Chili Wrap. With today’s timing being so far off that meal was more then adequate for us.
A mountain range with a face.
When we got back to the Park just as we were about to turn on Third Street we were staring at the front of another RV stopped in front of our site. We were getting new neighbours to fill the only empty site on our street. Instead of waiting for him to get parked I drove past our street to the Transient Section to show Kathy how full the Park actually was. She was amazed that she hadn’t seen them all arriving but like I said we weren’t Home all time and the weather had been keeping us in.
Life in the desert around Quartzsite.
Circling back to our street from the opposite direction we made it Home even as our new neighbours continued getting parked. We went inside and figured we’d wait until they were parked and leveled before introducing ourselves but that didn’t happen. We had barely stepped inside when the Rain started coming down hard. All our new neighbours could do was take shelter until it stopped.
A Typical Sunset in Quartzsite.
We are both struggling to stay awake even at this early hour so we can only hope things look better tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
