A Rainy Start to The Day, Errands Galore, Wonderful Lunch Out, Meeting Our Old Neighbours and A Rainy Finish To The Day.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

We both managed to get a good night’s sleep and even slept a little later then expected. The sound of the rain tapping away on the roof helped to keep us in that relaxed frame of mind. After having our breakfast, we settled in at our Computers to finish drinking our way too hot Coffee/Tea while we got caught up on everyone we try to follow on a daily basis.
By 9:30 the rain had eased so before it would start coming down as hard again we loaded ourselves into the truck and headed for Windsor. We had no idea how long we would be away from Home today because we had quite the list of things we needed to accomplish.
Our first stop was at our Accountants Office to pick up our completed Income Tax Returns, It was only two days ago we had dropped off all the documents that the needed to get the job done quickly. They complimented Kathy on her organizing of the documents that made it very easy for them to do it so quickly. They were amazed of the things we related seeing while we were away and they both expressed the dream to do the same someday.
From the Accountants Office we headed over to Guardian Storage where after collecting our latest Mail we drove back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Along with our small File Cabinet and Document Shredder we also collected an number of toiletries and office supplies that we had gathered over a year ago while still living in our Apartment in Tecumseh. We also checked a few other things that we’ll be using as needed without having to go buy it. Living in our RV is not the same as living in a sticks and bricks house or apartment where you can buy bulk. Now we will slowly recoup some of that earlier investment.
We didn’t realize that it was past noon when we left our Storage Unit so we chose to go for lunch before continuing with more errands. Even though we give our children and grandchildren personal gifts that we figure they can use, we encourage them to strictly give us Gift Cards. Kathy just happen to have one of those Gift Cards that would allow us to eat at East-Side Mario’s a very popular Italian Food Restaurant. Luckily their Luncheon Menu includes meals of smaller portions so we didn’t waddle back to the truck once we were finished eating.
We stopped at Fabricland where Kathy had the problem of selecting a special trim for a special project from a massive selection of materials they have in stock.
Our next stop was the Motor City Credit Union where we went to do some banking. As we were about to leave former neighbours Gates and Melanie from the apartment in Tecumseh pulled up. We talked briefly and found out they also moved from the building and they invited us over to their new place for a visit.
We went over to Walmart in search of a Frying Pan with a metal handle that we can use on our Weber Q. the Fry Pans we do have are stuck in the kitchen cabinet that is blocked by the Slide we can’t open for the time being. Even with all their selection of cookware we couldn’t find one that worked for us. We did find a few other things that we needed however.
Heading over to Canadian Tire we struck pay-dirt not only finding the perfect Frying Pan but also the Garbage Bags we use in our Recycle Bins in our RV.
We were almost back to Walker Road when I remembered we had forgotten to get the Ink-Jet Cartridges for our printer while at Walmart. Instead of going back we stopped in at Staples where they had the cartridges On Sale cheaper than I remembered them at Walmart.
On our way Home we needed to run the Wipers a few times but got ourselves and everything we had picked up today inside before the rain started again. Rain has a calming effect on the both of us but when the Distant Thunder started becoming more intense Kathy started getting nervous.
Still satisfied from lunch we both only needed a simple sandwich for our supper. Kathy has already thinned out a number of files that we no longer need from one file drawer. Tomorrow’s forecast is for more rain so it looks like I’ll be busy on the phone while Kathy sorts the second file drawer. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
