A Load Lifted and Still Trying to Get Things Done.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

By the time we posted the blog last night Kathy was sleep walking before she got to the bedroom. I was up a short while longer E-mailing the family pictures that were taken at our Merry Thankmas Celebration but even then I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open. We slept so soundly that I was wide awake looking at the ceiling before 7:00 this morning.

Not wanting to disturb Kathy I went about my usual routine of opening window shades and getting things ready to make breakfast in a hurry before sitting down at my computer to get an early start on my reading. When the Weather Network showed the outside temperature to be 37 F (3 C) I knew why it still felt so cool inside the trailer. There had been a warning about possible frost for our area but we apparently missed out on that call. By the time Kathy woke up I’d finished my morning reading and the outside temperature had risen to 45 F (7 C) due to the sun making an early appearance.
Part of yesterday's Merry Thankmas Celebration,
At breakfast we discussed everyone’s reaction to the Gifts they had received and how grateful they were. We also discussed how much more room we had now that all the Gifts were not taking up room inside the trailer. It was also noted that now we could relax that the Merry Thankmas Celebration (Canadian Thanksgiving/Christmas) was over so we could better concentrate on getting things ready for our departure in three weeks. We looked at our calendar and could only shake our heads because we still have lots of appointments to deal with before then and now that we are into the Fall Season weather conditions could cause us problems. We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
More gift recipients.
There were a number of E-mails that had to be answered and I also needed to show Kathy how to upload pictures to her Facebook Account. There was still plenty of chill in the air right before lunch so we looked for something to warm us up. The other day our neighbours Ted and Eileen had made a big pot of Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup. They’d had their fill that day and didn’t have enough room in their fridge to store it all so the offered some to us. That soup was thick with vegetables and tasted really good plus it helped to raise our core temperatures a little closer to normal.

Once lunch was over Kathy busied herself with the dishes while I started sorting laundry. It’s been a week and we don’t want it to pile too high. After I went to the Park Laundry Room Kathy vacuumed the entire trailer before sitting down to do her bookkeeping and make all our expense entries on the computer. In the laundry room it seemed many other park residents had the same idea about doing their washing today so it ended up where I only got one load in at a time. It was past 3:30 by the time I got back Home with all the folded laundry.
Does this look like leftovers to you?
For supper this evening Kathy used leftovers she’d brought Home yesterday from our Merry Thankmas Celebration to create a tasty Chicken Stir-Fry which was more than filling for the both of us. The temperature won’t quite be as cool tomorrow so I have to get as much taken care of as I can because the rest of the week I’ll only have minutes here and there to get things ready.

Hope all those celebrating Thanksgiving today were able to spend it surround by Love. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
