Lots Of Little Things Make For A Long Day.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

With the short amount of fresh air we had been exposed to yesterday we both managed to be up by 7:30 this morning. We had a few errands that we needed to run this morning and we hoped we’d be back Home for lunch. The only thing we took the time to review on the computers was the weather forecast and our E-mails. Since we’d be doing mostly city driving the car was the vehicle of choice but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t be packed when we left.
Driving up Walker Road it didn’t take long to arrive in Windsor and our first stop was Home Depot where we picked up a new Plant Tray. The one I had modified the other day had not held up for the size of plant we had in it.
Our next stop was at Guardian Storage where we first picked up our Mail which included the Fairies that Kathy had ordered online from Amazon. Such a big box and light as a feather. Driving back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit we had a number of things to drop off including a large amount of Cxxxxxxxs gifts that Kathy had already wrapped. By putting them in the storage unit would also take away the worry of having unexpected visitors accidentally seeing something that could be meant for them. Before we left Kathy had already gone through our mail and found a few refund cheques that needed to be deposited.
Driving over to our Credit Union we made the necessary banking for the day. Since it was nearly noon and we still had some errands to run we stopped in at Taco Bell for a satisfying lunch.
As in the US we used to have Radio Shack stores in Canada but now they are called The Source. We went to the nearest location at the Tecumseh Mall so that I could purchase a toggle switch to repair a fan for Kathy. Would you believe they are no longer carrying those kind of items which is what made Radio Shack famous years ago.
That meant another stop this time at Canadian Tire while Kathy looked in the seasonal outdoor area I searched the automotive area. Again they had few switches and nothing that I could use. I also needed a new static strap for the car and the clerk kept sending me to the aisle he thought they should be in. When I asked another clerk I found out they had been moved in a different area of the store.
Kathy had struck out for what she was looking for so I suggested Michaels. The route we needed to take went right by Princess Auto so I took the chance they might have what I needed. Sure enough they had the exact switch I needed to fix the fan.
The nearly finished Fairy Village again.
Arriving at Michaels we searched high and low for an accent piece they used to carry as stock. Today we were told they could make it for us but it would cost around $65.00. Thanks but no thanks! We stopped at Home Outfitters, Zehrs Supper Store, Home Sense and finally Pier 1 Imports all in a futile search of this accent piece before we headed for Home.
Bird nest Babies.
At Home I checked for phone messages and found a return call from the Pharmacy in Amherstburg we want our prescription medications transferred to. After a brief conversation with Danielle I gather what information we needed while Kathy made up a light supper.
Since they close at 6:00 that was the first place we went to. With the information that I had given them they had already gotten the medication files transferred but the old pharmacy didn’t give them the authorization forms allowing them to process it. They are cutting through all the red tape making this transition very easy for us.
We stopped at the Dollar Store in hopes of finding a simple tool that I could use. Instead we found the accent Kathy wanted that we had spent much of the day looking for and it didn’t cost $65.00 either.

We made a quick stop at Walmart where we picked up another Toad Stool to raise the Fairy Village off the patio. We also picked up a small fruit tray to bring with us.
Boot's wondering what that camera is doing.
With it being Wednesday we headed to Kevin and Melissa’s for our weekly visit. We figured that if we were going to have a snack it might as well be a healthy one that we could all share. We had our usual fun filled visit that had us all laughing at one point or another.
Kathy would love to see this dead tree sculpted.
After we got Home and adjusted the outside patio we finally got to the computers. We always have a title for each blog we post but every once in a while after it is published the Title disappears. It happened again last night and I didn’t notice until this evening.
The weather was a mix of sun and clouds all day with moderately comfortable temperatures. We should be seeing warmer temperatures by this time of year but with all the rain that is being forecasted who knows when it will arrive. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. I bet time flew by! :) Radio Shack lost its identity and management couldn't figure out a way to keep them going. I'm going to miss them.
