Making Lots Of Progress And Another Donation.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

It was a good thing we didn’t have any plans today until after lunch because we both had a restless night’s sleep causing us to sleep until after 8:00 this morning. We’d finished eating a light breakfast and were finishing our coffees at the computers before 9:00. Kathy was already doing online banking and I had a list of places to call. I had to call Wayfarer to find out how long it would be for our vehicular insurance slips to arrive especially since it is supposed to take effect tomorrow. After learning the temporary ones had been E-messaged to us with more literature about our policy the other day and the actual ones would arrive in the Postal Mail in the next day or so. A few more questions were answered prompt and courteously. (We should have changed our insurer years ago.)

The next call revealed that our Income Tax Returns were ready for pickup at our accountants so that meant we had more errands to do. It didn’t take us long to get out the door with a list of things to accomplish. Our first stop was at our Accountants where we learned we were as fortunate as in past years.

The next stop was at Windsor Gas and Diesel where I booked the yearly Safety Test for the truck for the middle of May. Since the truck is now seven years old the Ontario Department of Motor Vehicles wants it to have an Emissions Test as well. (Another government Money Grab.)

Since we were in the next block and I had an afternoon appointment at the Canadian Blood Services we stopped in. It was only 11:00 and I thought they might take me early but they had just recently adjusted their opening hours to 11:30 so back on the road to our next stop.

Next stop was the Credit Union where we paid what we owed on our Income Tax. It was now past 11:00 and we thought that it was a great time to have and early lunch so we used another coupon to enjoy a sandwich at Arby’s at a reduced price. On last night’s comments Donna noted we use coupons a lot when we eat out and is it a Canadian thing? Since we have lived in this apartment building we find lots of coupons in our mail box many of those I pass on to people we know that will use them. When we had our home we never received this many and since we’ve been getting mail at our new mailing address we haven’t received any. If it weren’t for those coupons sent out by the different food chains, we wouldn’t be eating out as much as we do.

We did stop at Guardian Storage and collected our mail (no coupons) before going to VitalAire. Kathy had noticed that my face is getting severely wind burnt due to air leakage on my CPAP mask. The representative agreed and gave me a loaner mask of a different style to try in hopes of it making a difference.
Luckily we didn’t have to leave the building but just walked down the hall to the Canadian Blood Services. I was there to make my 100th Blood Donation and all the workers were congratulating me. I am fortunate enough to be in good health and not on any medication that would stop me from doing this. I’ve seen and heard of people requiring transfusions and since it seems to make me feel better I try to encourage anyone that is able to Donate the Gift of Life. Even when we travel I try to donate on a regular basis.
Back at the apartment Kathy immediately went back to work on completing the last of the tiebacks for the Light Darkening Curtains she made for the trailer. Once that was finished and she ironed them and we started packing more things that will be going to the trailer and to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. For supper we grilled some Turkey Dogs on the Weber.

Tomorrow the weather is looking like Spring weather should so we suspect we might hear more echoing taking place in the apartment. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
