Looking Sparse.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After another attempt to wear the new CPAP mask I again couldn’t take the air leaking from the top of the mask into my eyes so I spent another night wearing the old one. The big problem is that it has been causing wind burn around the lower part of the mask causing a bad wind burn on my face but at least it is not blowing in my eyes.
Kathy and I were both up and about by 7:30 this morning and by 9:00 we’d eaten, completed our morning reading, gotten dressed and were busy packing more things to go to the Storage Unit and Trailer. I had loaded all the larger pieces of furniture in the truck bed by noon and was loading the table top in the backseat when Gary one of our neighbors loaned me a hand to safely get it in there. He was amazed at our goal and wishing he could do the same. (This seems to be the same statement everyone keeps saying to us.) We actually had a late lunch at 12:30 and then spent another hour gathering things and loading them into the truck.
It was nearly 2:00 by the time we arrive at our Climate Controlled Storage Unit at Guardian Storage. It was like a puzzle unloading the truck to only take things that were going into the storage unit and leaving the rest behind. It was another puzzle inside getting things put away without spreading it out too much. We are already seeing some things that we are presently storing that will probably be sold next year when Guardian Storage has its Yearly Yard Sale but for now it’s good where it is. The outside temperature in our area hit 72 F (22 C) this afternoon and with the bright sun it felt warmer. Inside the Storage Unit Kathy had to wear her jacket because the 61 F (16 C) temp was giving her the chills.
We stopped at the Trailer where we finished unloading the truck. Kathy just placed things inside where they’d go but will get it unpacked tomorrow. I half-filled the outside kitchen refrigerator with loose beverage containers, then replaced the low point drain caps (I removed yesterday) before I removed the tire covers in anticipation of getting the trailer on the road.
As we were leaving the storage yard I noticed the fuel gauge was getting low so we stopped in at the Pioneer gas station to top off the main tank. The cost was only five and a half cents higher than the last time I fueled up but it is still much lower than it was last year at this time. By then it was nearing 5:00 so we made quick stop at Taco Bell where we used another of the coupons in our booklet to enjoy a very filling supper.
We arrived at the apartment just in time to watch the 6 o’clock News but there was a problem. With all the fresh air we had today and our full tummies we were having a hard time staying awake to watch the news.
As soon we saw the weather forecast (more of the same as today for tomorrow) we were once again out the door. We may be moving but we still have to eat at home most times so we headed to the Zehrs grocery store on Manning Road. Kathy made certain we had our fruits and vegetables as well as other necessities but she also figured we’ve made so much progress lately we got a little treat for good behavior.
Looking around the apartment this evening Kathy summed it up as looking very sparse. Tomorrow we’ll see if we can make it look barren. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
