Taking It Easy But Still Accomplishing.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After waking only a few times throughout the night both Kathy and I were up shortly after 8:00 this morning. It was a good feeling knowing that we really didn’t have anything pressing to do today. After having breakfast and enjoying a second cup of coffee while reading at the computers still in our PJs we didn’t start anything else until after 11:00. Looking outside we noticed flocks of blackbirds and a pair of Canadian Geese using the back field for a resting and snacking place. Some of the Snowbirds are starting to come back north.

Making more progress towards our departure from the apartment today we removed the drapery from the Dining Room and the Office only leaving the blinds which we’ll be leaving behind anyways. After I’d removed the hardware Kathy patched the holes with filler all before lunch. Kathy would later say that the apartment was loosing the “Homey Feeling” we had given it when we moved in. Not only are we beginning to hear more echo as we remove wall-hangings along with other belongings but it is starting to have an almost barren look to it.
Looking out for one another.
I walked across the street to the local Post Office this afternoon to get some stamps and to mail a few letters. The clerk was the same person that had tried to help me locate my new laptop ten days ago. Since it was slow we spoke for a few minutes and when she was told about our Fulltiming Plans the first thing she said was she wished she could do that.

Kathy had tried sending Address changes to some of our close friends and relatives via E-mail. Unfortunately two of the E-mail addresses bounced back so I made a quick call leaving a message for their proper E-mail addresses. Kathy was also Attaching a word document with this information that she had composed on her Windows 10 laptop. If you don’t have a computer with Windows 10 you could not open the document. To resolve that I had her Copy and Paste the document to the E-mail so now everyone will be able to read it.

We started getting tired of listening to the wind rattling and whistling through our windows again so we decided we would just go walk around one of the stores. First we drove to Guardian Storage to pick up our mail. Some of those companies we gave our change of address to actually paid attention. We then drove back to our trailer where we gathered our empty food storage containers so that we can start cleaning out the pantry in the apartment. Food containers used in the apartment are not very good at staying closed when they are bouncing down a road so by transferring things to the better containers we’ll be another step closer to our Fulltiming Adventure.

We were chilled to the bone when we left the trailer. The late spring temperatures we experienced last week are only a memory. We were also getting hungry so we stopped at Taco Bell where we used a coupon to have a very filling supper at a greatly reduced price.

We then drove across the street to Walmart where Kathy was able to find a few things she personally needed. We still wanted to walk around and in doing so managed to scratch a few more things off our early Christmas shopping list. Celebrating two holidays in October Canadian Thanksgiving and Christmas has Kathy worried that she won’t have all her shopping done on time.
Good Night Tarpon Springs.
Back at the apartment there were no Shopping carts available downstairs so Kathy and I hauled everything up the stairs in one load. By the time we had everything put away we simply sat down to watch the 6 o’clock News. During a commercial I looked out the balcony door to see friends Mel and Gates driving into the parking lot. They just returned from spending the past four months in Florida. Like I said before the Snowbirds are starting to come back north. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. The sponge docks in Tarpon Springs is a nice visit with a boat tour to see the dolphins. Always like going there for a walk on the streets.

  2. We meet more and more people that wish they could do what we do. When we ask them...Why don't you...they never really have a good response.
