Digging Out And Getting Older.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After enjoying temperatures that were well above normal for this time of year we weren’t surprised when the temps started sliding back to normal. The only problem was that they are continuing to slide below normal for this time of year heading into this coming weekend. The only thing wrong with that is it makes your body succumb to your animalistic urges to hibernate and sleeping later.

Shortly after breakfast I bundled up and headed outside to clean the car and truck. The last couple of days we’ve been slowly covered with a blanket of white that we would rather miss all together. Even for such a short time outside I needed to warm up afterwards.

Kathy needed a few items to finish a few of the food dishes she was making so with a clean car we were able to drive over to the Metro grocery store to get them. Back at the apartment Kathy finished her cooking while I finally got my morning reading done on the computer. I’ve added a widget countdown meter on our sidebar with our planned date of April 30th being the official start of being Fulltime RVers.
Birthday Boy Cameron.
With the fresh air we had this morning we both needed to have a Snap by the middle of the afternoon we would only have a salad as a snack in place of supper. By 5:00 we were on our way to our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s home in Amherstburg for not only our weekly visit but a birthday celebration. It’s hard to believe but our young grandson Cameron turned sixteen years old today. Melissa’s parents Sally and Al got there just before us.

Melissa had an entire meal already set on the table of just finger food snacks that everyone enjoyed. Kevin had received a special gift for Christmas and put it to good use. With only written instructions and verbal encouragement he baked and decorated Cameron’s birthday cake himself. It looked and tasted great.

Cameron enjoyed all his gifts and was surprised to be getting somethings that he’d only just imagined getting. As Cameron was enjoying his gifts the rest of us were talking in the dining room. It was an enjoyable evening thank you Kevin and Melissa for having us.  Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
