Not As Much Progress But Progress The Same.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We both managed to wake up fairly rested this morning even though we both seemed to have an on and off type of sleep where we kept on waking through the night but after rolling over seemed to be able to fall back to sleep. Opening the curtains this morning was a little disheartening because the sky was still filled with heavy clouds but encouraging at the same time because there was no fog. Going on the Weather Network site on the computer showed we’d reach into the mid-40s this afternoon and the clouds would share the sky with the sun. 

Cloudy days in the Keys are more pleasing than we've had the past few days. 

We completed our morning reading on the computers long before we had to leave. Today we drove to the east end medical clinic where I had some testing done last month. After registering it was only a matter of minutes before the doctor saw us. The results came back negative and I was given an all clear for another five years.

It was past noon by this point and we still had other errands to run so we used a coupon at Arby’s where we had an enjoyable meal at a reduced price. Our next stop was across the street at Walmart where Kathy looked unsuccessfully for another cold weather night gown. We extended our walking inside and were able to find additional clear plastic storage containers that we’ll need for when we leave the apartment next spring. We’ll have downsized dramatically but there will be some things we’ll be holding on to and storing them until we need them or for when we go back to part-time RVing. Before leaving the store we also picked up a few groceries that will hold us into the weekend. 

This was the kind of cloudiness we had today.

Back at the apartment Kathy sorted her keepsakes from the Curio Cabinet we have in the dining room. She will only be keeping a select few that hold special meaning to us and will be donating and giving away the rest. Even the Curio Cabinet has been promised as a future gift. 

Even this mist wasn't as bad as the fog we've had lately.

I had planned on going to the trailer to finish installing the Power Distribution Block this afternoon. I also gathered the last of the tools out of the apartment and the car that needed to be returned to the trailer basement. Even though I was dressed for cooler temperatures than forecasted the wind still chilled me to the bone. After determining that the temperature was barely above the freezing mark I went online to see when would be a better day to finish the job I called it a day outside. Kathy then had me add the box that will be dropped off to the donation center before staying in for the rest of the afternoon. 

These are the kind of skies we hope to see soon.

Sitting here looking out the window at the dark sky writing up the blog for the day I can attest that the weather guessers got it all wrong again today. With the thick cloud covering we never saw the sun and the temperature never warmed us up. The next few days are forecasted to be warmer and we might even see the sun which will be a new thing for us. In the meantime we’ll continue trying to make progress so we’ll be ready to start Fulltiming next spring. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
