Making Lots Of Headway.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After having a bad night’s sleep on Saturday then being exposed to all that fresh air while working on the roof of the trailer yesterday is it any wonder that I had no trouble sleeping last night. Kathy however had a restless sleep last night because we’d set the alarm and she kept thinking we wouldn’t hear it. Fortunately I was wide awake and up before the alarm went off. Kathy had an appointment with her family doctor this morning so we didn’t have breakfast and we didn’t have time to read anything on the computers before leaving. Remember how foggy I mentioned it was on Saturday well today it was worse. It was so bad that all school buses were cancelled today.

Once we arrived at Kathy’s doctor’s office the first thing she did was get her bloodwork done and then she got her yearly Flu Shot. The doctor was very happy with Kathy’s test results sending her on her way with Christmas Wishes and telling her she’d see her in the spring. We were so hungry at that point we went over to A&W where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. That was when we realized we’d forgotten to get Kathy’s vitamins at her doctor’s pharmacy. After getting the vitamins we stopped at Sears for Kathy to get a new watch. Her’s is starting to give her problems so it was due to be replaced.
This Power Distribution Block does a very important job.
We didn’t have time to waste and we still had a few stops to make. The next stop was at Electrozad to purchase a Power Distribution Block so that I’ll be able to connect the Charge Controller to the cables I ran to the solar panels on the roof. That was easy we were out in less than ten minutes.
You connect the larger cables for positive and negative here.
Our next stop was Walmart where Kathy found a new nightgown for the upcoming cold winter nights. Another stop was made a Fabricland where Kathy found some edging material for when she works on her capris. The last stop before heading to the apartment was Canadian Tire so that I could gather additional information on the solar panels that we have on our trailer. It was shortly after noon when we arrived at the apartment. Since we’d had a late breakfast we had a light lunch.

Kathy went to work removing more things off the walls and patching the holes. Once I’d added another few layers of clothing I returned to repairing the car heater. This has been a nightmare because it is weather dependent working outside and you can only get your fingertips in to the opening to accomplish the task. Another problem I was having was seeing what I was doing because my breath was vaporizing to the point I couldn’t see my fingers less than a foot away. Once I’d made certain the heater was functioning properly I had to go inside to warm up. Kathy said she couldn’t see the car because the fog was still so thick. When I checked the temperature on the computer it showed that it was barely above freezing but that it felt colder. I also managed to reorganize my tool boxes before calling it a day.

Kathy made a wonderful meat pie and butternut squash for supper that truly helped to take the chill out of me. After not seeing any hint of the sun again today while watching the 6 o’clock News the weather forecast was for more fog. We’re now looking forward to spring and our going Fulltime. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. It's pretty bad with the school bus cancels due to fog. Be thankful that fog isn't freezing on the roadways. That's pretty common during the winter in some places.

  2. I thought we were having bad fog. You are having much worse weather than we are. I hope tomorrow brings you clear skies.
