No More Shaggy Dogs.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Well I managed to have a decent night’s sleep but was still up by 8:00 this morning. When Kathy doesn’t wake up shortly after I leave the room I know that she’s had a bad night. Once it was past 8:30 and she wasn’t up I felt worse because that meant that I had to wake her. Doing so as gently as possible I slowly opened the drapes and blinds in the bedroom to let the sunlight do the job. If we didn’t have a morning appointment today I would have let her sleep.

After having breakfast we did have time to do our morning reading on the computers but shortly after 10:00 we were on our way to Fantastic Sam’s to get our hair cuts. We extended our time to seven weeks between trims and with the warmth of the summer heat we were starting to look like a couple of shaggy dogs. Even our hairstylist Jenna couldn’t believe how much our hair had grown. We had to wait a few extra minutes before she finished her previous customer but within a half hour we were once again looking and feeling human again.

On the way home we needed to stop at the Credit Union to get Kathy’s debit card reset. When we were at the grocery store the other day she’d used the PIN for her credit card instead and when she repeated the mistake the card went into a holding mode which helps to prevent someone else from fraudulently using her card. Unfortunately Kathy couldn’t use her card until she got it reset.

Since it was well past 12:45 by the time we’d finished getting that straightened around and since Taco Bell was next door that was what we ate for lunch. We didn’t have a coupon but we shared a Big Box Meal which was more than enough to satisfy us both.

We then drove across the parking lot to pick up things we needed at the Dollar Store as well as getting in some walking exercise that we’ve missed out on lately.

Back at the apartment Kathy started making the entries on the improved spreadsheet that I worked on for her the last few days. Somehow when I copied entries on the old file to the new some of the numerical entries didn’t make the transaction. Luckily Kathy still has the receipts but now she has to double check what is missing. She still insists that in the end it will be easier keeping track of our expenses.

For supper I grilled two all-beef hotdogs as well as two large Portobello mushrooms that Kathy had prepared with a Balsamic Vinaigrette. Supper tasted great and we were more than satisfied.

Being that it was Wednesday evening we headed out to Amherstburg for our weekly visit with our son Kevin and Daughter-in-law Melissa. As usual we had an enjoyable visit that had plenty of discussion mixed with a good dose of laughter. When we were about to leave a quick check of the marker lights showed they were all working properly tonight not like last week. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
