Errands and Soccer.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

For some reason we both managed to sleep later than normal this morning. By the time we’d finished reading the blogs and our E-mails there wasn’t much left of the morning.

After having meatloaf sandwiches for lunch we headed out to run a number of errands. Our first stop was to the local Husky truck stop in hopes of finding a local radio repair shop that I could bring my CB radio in to have checked out. Years ago there were all kinds of shops doing such work in the area but not today.

Our next stop was the Home Depot on Walker road. The last time they didn’t have the size of stainless steel fasteners that I needed to mount the marker lights on the mudflaps but they did today. I’d found the proper sized fasteners in my organizer yesterday but I realized last night that if I used them I’d be going through the same problem in another year.

Our last stop was at Walmart where we picked up a number of grocery items that we were running low on.
Even the players were finding the field tight.
Matthew in the middle.
Back at the apartment after unloading and putting everything away since it was almost 4:00 we decided to have an early supper. Kathy made a wonderful Spring Salad topped with slivers of Chicken. As we were eating the phone rang and it was our daughter Karen calling us to say the family was going out. This saved us from going over to visit an empty house but she said she’d meet us at Matthew’s soccer game.
Matthew’s soccer game had been moved to an indoor playing field because of the threat of bad weather for our area. This was a rescheduled game against the Windsor Fire Fighters soccer team. Unfortunately I didn’t realize that the indoor field was quite a bit smaller than the outdoor fields and I brought the wrong camera. That truly limited the pictures I was able to take. The game was tied at the end which required a sudden death shootout. Matthew’s team came out on top.

I have some phone calls to make tomorrow and then I really have start getting things checked off my to-do list. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Why do gorillas have big nostrils?

Because they have big fingers.

  1. Our girls played soccer from age 8-high school. In the winter, their team played indoor soccer. I don't know about you two, but we thought indoor soccer was very dangerous. That ball just flies through the air. It was fast paced, but we always worried about someone getting seriously hurt.

  2. Our kids played soccer but our grandkids were really in it as well as baseball. We kept ourselves busy just going to all the games.
