Change of Plans and Great Surprise.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy had a doctor’s appointment today so before going to bed last night she told me to be sure to wake her by 8:00 this morning. I assured her that she’d be there on time because lately I’ve been waking up early. Remember how most RVers sleep on a pretravel nights. Well a morning appointment is practically the same thing in my mind. I woke up at 4:30 and tried rolling over to go back to sleep. Finally after tossing and turning for the next forty-five minutes I just got out of bed.

I watched the Weather Channel to see how much rain we’d be expecting today. Then I opened all the drapes and blinds throughout the apartment before going to the computer to get all my morning reading finished and I even had time to do some online research. Finally at 8:00 I woke Kathy with a kiss on the forehead.

Now it was time to get dressed and head out the door without having breakfast. We arrived ahead of Kathy’s appointed time but she utilized that to go get her blood test done that she had to fast for. When Kathy has to fast I will not eat breakfast without her so I also fast. Surprisingly she had her blood test done saw her doctor and picked up her special Calcium vitamins in record time. Dr. Sherman even wished the both of us safe travels and said to enjoy our trip.

We used a couple of coupons we had and stopped for breakfast at A&W where we both enjoyed two eggs four bacon strips a hash brown two toasts and a large coffee for just over ten dollars total. We enjoyed our meal in leisure as a change of plans had suddenly given us more time than we expected to have for today. Before leaving the area we stopped in at the nearby GNC to pick up the last of my vitamins for our trip.

We needed to make a quick stop at the apartment before returning to Walmart. With the extra time on our hands we wanted someplace warm and dry to walk around in. We walked around the store a number of times before we realized it was nearly 3:00 and we hadn’t eaten lunch. We used the in-store McDonald’s and enjoyed some Chicken McNuggets for a late lunch. Now we had full tummies we did more walking and that is when Kathy finally found a top that she has been looking for now for quite a while. We also found more Christmas wrap that we can use for next year’s gift since it is only 374 days away.

While walking around Walmart we also ran into another of my former coworkers from the plant that we worked in. Dan wasn’t as lucky as I was when it closed. I was able to retire while Dan had far less time in. He and his wife asked how we were doing and we told them of our travels. They said they’d like to do that someday. We told them not to wait too long and do it while their health was good.

Back at the apartment we were in the process of making Italian meatballs when there was a knock on our door. Normally when someone comes to our apartment we have to buzz them in to the building. It was a deliveryman from Can Par who was making multiple deliveries in the building and we weren’t his first stop. He was delivering the replacement underwater camera that we seem to have lost or had stolen from one of our vehicles. We made the purchase online late in the afternoon on December 6th from New York and ten days later we have it in our hands. The camera came with two batteries the charger and a SD card for less than half the cost of the original.

The spaghetti and meatballs tasted great for supper and we even watched another Christmas special. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
