Winter Fall Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Why I’m not sleeping properly with the windows ajar at night I don’t know. Tonight the temperature is dipping below the freezing mark with a wind chill down in the upper teens Fahrenheit. We’ll be closing the windows to avoid turning on the heat and I’ll be taking a Tylenol to help me sleep.

I was up before 7:00 this morning and had my computer reading finished before Kathy woke up just after 8:30 this morning. While having our breakfast we could hear the sound of the wind whistling past the windows and when we watched the Weather Channel they confirmed the high Northerly winds we were getting that were causing the temperatures to feel much lower than they actually were. Our high for the day would only reach 50 F (10 C).

We had an errand to run at the Credit Union because it is the first of the month. While inside I ran into Mark who served his apprenticeship as a Pipefitter during the same time that I did. He even stopped by the truck and spoke to Kathy for a short bit excited for us that we were travelling and enjoying what time we can together.

Kathy and I then went over to Wendy’s to try their new Pulled Pork Sandwich that they have been advertising. We took our time enjoying our meal and people watching while we were at it. We both had it with different toppings and even though it was good our son-in-law Greg makes a much better pulled pork sandwich right at home. We can’t wait for the next invite.

After our lunch we headed over to the WFCU arena in Windsor to watch Tyler’s hockey team play hockey. Tyler moved from the Tecumseh hockey league because they didn’t have enough teams to make a league in his division. In Belle River they only have five teams to compete against one another and after a while that starts to be old news. The different leagues in the area are scheduling games with adjoining leagues so that the teams don’t get bored with the game.

Today Tyler’s team was playing a Windsor team that was equally talented. Both teams had close to the same shots on net and close to the same amount of penalties. At the end of the game even though both teams tried their best the game was a draw with a zero score.

Kathy had a chance to talk to Karen before the game and found out that after we left their place last night the friend that had cancelled going Trick or Treating with Tyler because of the cold wind and rain had called him. His mother was going to the Devonshire Mall and his friend asked him to go walking around the mall in his costume. Apparently there were a lot of people complimenting Tyler on his special make-up mask.

After leaving the arena today Kathy and I went to the gas station to top off the fuel tanks. That is something I try to keep full during the cold weather to avoid water build up in the system. Next we stopped at Canadian Tire to get supplies that only they seem to carry in town. Next we went to the Devonshire Mall looking for a collapsible duffle bag on wheels that we’ll keep stored in the trailer for those special times away from the trailer. The first store Kathy looked at while I parked the truck was Bentley’s who specialize in luggage.  After seeing what they had she met me in the mall and we walked to four other stores looking at their wares only to return to Bentley’s to buy not the bag Kathy had seen but one right next to it that she hadn’t seen. Before leaving the mall we stopped at GNC so I could get some vitamins that only they carry.

It was nearly 5:30 by the time we hauled everything into the apartment. We enjoyed the last of last night’s pizza we had cooked. After watching the news we watched another murder mystery movie that we hadn’t seen. Tomorrow I have a lot of things to get undated on the computer before we leave in less than 55 days. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
