Determination and Expectations.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After another good night of sleep I woke at 8:00 and Kathy woke shortly after just as I was getting breakfast ready to serve. Even though we were early we had less time to read on the computers this morning. We even had to eat a light snack and be out the door by 11:30 this morning.
Looking out the window this morning I saw our first Frost of the season.

We were on our way to the new Belle River Arena to watch our grandson Tyler’s team play hockey. The strange thing is that Tyler and his best friend Ethan were away for this long Thanksgiving Day weekend. Even though the boys wanted to be there for their team their parents thought this would be the last nice weekend they could go away as a family. Neither of us ever paid attention to any kind of sports until our grandsons started getting involved in sports.

When the game first started it didn’t look to promising when the opposing team scored their first two goals within the first period. Fortunately as I’ve said before being down only tends to push Tyler’s team to do what is expected of them and that is to win. By the end of the second period the score was tied which also included the serving of penalties for both teams. By the end of the third period the game ended with a score of 4 to 2 in favor of Tyler’s team.

Sharing the luck after a goal.
Once we were back at the apartment Kathy asked me to clean up the Celery Root we had in the fridge. This is a very tasty vegetable that many people don’t know about while others use it as a supplemental vegetable in soups and other dishes. Kathy and I enjoy it sliced, breaded and cooked making it not only a good snack but as a meal by itself and that is exactly what we did. We ate the Celery Root as our supper.

Upon inspection of the pieces of wood that I stained yesterday the cool temperatures are making the stain continue to be tacky. Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be able to possibly finish the assembly of the trailer water cart tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
