Summer Heat.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Before going to bed last night we knew what to expect as far as the weather was concerned for today. Even with the high temperature only reaching in the low 80’s with the humidity and the warm southerly breeze blowing it felt more like the low 100’s.

We spent most of the morning on the computers with Kathy doing more research and myself completing the calendar that I was making for Kathy. When I showed it to her she was amazed that I had marked everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries on the proper dates making it much easier for her to keep track of them. She did ask that I add a few more months to it so that she won’t be scrambling with dates upon our return next April.

After lunch we did venture outside and the thin air immediately took Kathy’s breath away but we were on a mission. We headed over to the east end Canadian Tire store in search of a Christmas Gift. You might think that it is crazy to be doing that at this time of year but when you know what you can give to someone you don’t waste time going to get it. With only 191 days left before Christmas day itself we really had to look for what we were looking for because they were almost out of stock. Besides when you tell someone that it’s a Christmas Gift at this time of year they don’t believe you but they always laugh.

Because of the warm outside temperature I dropped Kathy off at the service door so it was only a few feet that she was in the heat. Once the truck was parked I was surprised that I was hit by a couple of gusts of warm wind that nearly blew me off my feet.

We finally got a few showers just before supper time which meant that Kathy cooked the pork chops on the stove rather than me doing them on the Weber. Watching the Weather Channel as we ate supper we were surprised to see warnings for hail in our area accompanied by a Tornado Watch.

Tomorrow there’s no hiding in the apartment so high temperatures or not we’re outta here. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
