Other People’s STUFF.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Finally we both managed to sleep at night the way our bodies were intended to. The fact that we left the windows open throughout the night definitely had a lot to do with it. When we got up shortly after 7:00 we really felt rested and relaxed. While enjoying our cereal for breakfast the Weather Channel once again informed us that we would be having another wonderful clear day with temperatures where they should be.

After a quick glance at the computers we headed over to our daughter Karen’s where she was having a Yard Sale. After listening to us telling her how much freer we feel since we got rid of a lot of our STUFF she started thinking about it. The fact that she is still home trying to recover from the accident she started seeing things as clutter that she never noticed before. Slowly with the help of her family the garage was transformed into a gathering spot for things the family no longer had any use for. Before leaving for work this morning  SIL Greg and GD Kylla set the tables out in the driveway for Karen to man. Their neighbor also loaned a hand as well as they were doing the same in their driveway. We visited for a short while and she was very pleased with how much of the STUFF was selling. At the end of the day what doesn’t sell will be donated to Salvation Army.

We stopped at the trailer with the intention of removing the stone brush on the rear of the truck and storing it there. While Kathy checked something inside I started removing it only to find that the key to its lock was still at the apartment. Oh Well next time.

We spent the remainder of the morning cooking and baking together. We even had part of the macaroni salad that we’d made for lunch and were about to start the dishes when the timer went off telling us the baking was finished.
Already wrapped for this coming Christmas.
We finished our reading on the computers before doing more research this afternoon. For supper I fired up the Weber and grilled a couple of Johnsonville Brats that went well with the baked beans and salad Kathy had made. Once the dishes were cleaned and put away Kathy and I started wrapping the gifts that we purchased the other day while in Michigan. Since Christmas is only 201 days away we don’t want to wait until the last minute to get that done. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I loved having garage sales. My mom and I had one every other year and did super with the sales. Glad Karen had so much success. We met the nicest people.

  2. Garage sales, yard sales, estate sales and even moving sales can be so much fun. However, sometimes we tend to buy things we never use either .... oh well, we just contribute them to other sales.
