Getting Back on Track.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We both had improved sleep last night compared to the previous nights before. It seems that we are slowly getting rid of this bug that neither of us invited into our lives. Fortunately my immune system is stronger than Kathy’s so I have gotten away with just taking Buckley’s cough medicine and cough drops to clear up this cold.

Even without the alarm I was up before 7:30 and started getting things ready for breakfast. I also had a chance to get caught up on my computer reading before Kathy joined me just before 8:30. Since there was no rush this morning we just took our time having breakfast and watching the Weather Channel where they showed that even though we could expect cooler than normal temperatures for today it would be dry. It also showed that the temperature will be soon back to the norm for our area.

Since we restocked our food supplies yesterday Kathy and I worked together cooking up a nice quiche. While I was busy chopping the vegetables for the quiche Kathy used the leftover dough to make some fruit tarts. We had soup for lunch and enjoyed the tarts for dessert. Just as we finished eating the timer went off to tell us the quiche was cooked but like our homemade soups we’ll wait to eat it another day so the flavors can meld together.

We did more E reading this afternoon until Kathy needed a Snap. I continued playing a few games until it was time to go out for supper. We had talked about it earlier so we went to the Michigan Diner for fish and chips. Because we order off the Senior’s Menu we save thirty percent on the price and only give up some of the over piled plate of French fries.

We planned on going to Walmart but had to drive by our daughter Karen’s home. When we saw her and Greg sitting on the front porch we stopped in for a quick visit. She was explaining how she is still having problems from her injuries and when she goes for therapy they seem more aggravated then improved. They were also getting ready to go out for supper with some friends so we didn’t stay long.

At Walmart we walked around for exercise but we also picked up a few paper products that Kathy had read were on sale in a flyer. I also needed to replace a burnt turn signal bulb on the truck and though that I would replace it with an LED bulb. Walmart does not carry LED bulbs for autos so when we were done there we drove over to Princess Auto. They have been flipping the store and it was by luck that Kathy spotted them. The best part was they were on sale for 60 percent off. Since LED bulbs are supposed to last much longer than regular bulbs and are brighter I purchased four of them. Two will go on the truck and two on our trailer.

Tomorrow we’ll have to find something to do to enjoy the nicer weather. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
