Exploring our Surroundings.

Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida.

Well I knew it couldn’t last forever and that’s what happen last night. I fell asleep with no problem but less than an hour later my right arm seemed to be telling me that I’d overworked it yesterday working on the bicycles and the other chores that I accomplished. I didn’t want to wake Kathy so I just roll over and prayed I’d sleep.
Before 7:00 I caught up on my morning reading on the computer before getting breakfast ready. When the water kettle clicked it was like an alarm going off and Kathy sat upright in bed awake. By the time we’d eaten and I made the bed we got ready for a day trip to Clewiston.
Every morning these doves sit behind our trailer hooting.
We did have a shopping list made out plus we also wanted to see more of the town than we did last week. We did spend a bit of time walking around a few of the more familiar named chains and small shops in an effort to pass time. Kathy was even able to find a nice blouse to go with her capris she has back at the trailer as well as more sleepwear. Finally we stopped at McDonald’s and ordered each a Chicken Nugget meal.
The temperatures were definitely on the rise so we headed over to Walmart in hopes of finding things on our list. We did however start making small purchases in preparation for a special occasion that is only 316 days away.
Another Sugar Cane field burning.
We were also in search of a folding table that we would carry in the basement of the trailer for times like the present where the RV Resort doesn’t have enough tables for every site. Walmart did have something close but it was actually priced higher than we expected to pay so that purchase will have to wait. We did use the trip to restock our food supply that we so easily manage to eat without any waste. Luckily we carry insulated shopping bags in the truck which helped to keep the cold and frozen foods in that state until we got back to the trailer.
Back at the trailer we finished opening the windows and the door to get the air circulating but it didn’t cool down until after we had everything away. After a brief rest Kathy started preparing things for supper which was still two hours away. We then sat outside in the shade where there was a nice breeze from the north keeping us cool. I even made up ten minutes of the sleep I lost last night.
Kathy made a wonderful spaghetti and meatball supper which she topped off with Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. Once the dishes were done we wanted to sit outside soaking in as much of this wonderful weather as we could. I even brought my laptop out in an attempt to write our blog post but that’s all you have to do and our neighbor Fran stopped by to chat.  Before we knew it the sun was setting and the bugs were starting to swarm around us so it was time to come inside for the night.
We have to do some research for our next road trip but every day we’re here is an adventure. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. If you come to the south west most places have no tables, we just make do, no problem. Have a few small ones work great.
    Don't need a big one.
