Meeting and Research.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

It still seems strange that even though the length of our sunlit days has gotten shorter and I am now sleeping much more soundly. I am actually waking up totally rested earlier with more energy. This morning was no exception as I was up by 7:30 and by the time I opened the blinds and got breakfast started Kathy was up and about as well. Moments after breakfast was over we were quick to the computers to get our reading done.

Kathy elected to stay home this morning in part due to the cold wind so she could do some house work and do further research for our upcoming trip to Florida after Christmas. Shortly after 9:00 I was out the door on my way to the union hall for the retirees meeting. Other than the usual business that was brought up also discussed was the Provincial government is trying to stop Cancer treatments in our area and wanting anyone needing treatment to travel over a hundred miles away to see a specialist to get on a list of patients from outside their area to seek treatment. The second thing brought up was our Federal government taking away our local Veterans Administration office and expecting veterans to travel to Toronto two hundred miles away for help. These will be fights that all retirees from our region will definitely get involved with because our area not only has a high rate of Veterans but being a formerly highly industrialized area the percentage of cancer is extremely high.

Back at the apartment I walked in to find Kathy continuing research on her computer for this year’s trip to Florida. One thing we will never say when we are on a trip is that we were bored because Kathy makes certain that we have something of interest to keep us busy.

Kathy and I would like to welcome two new followers to our blog that seem new to the RVing world. Our first new follower is Patsy Irene but unfortunately she doesn’t have a blog at present time but if she ever does we will surely give it a shout out. Our second new follower is jhm522000. I’m not sure what the title represents but the author Cindy who started the blog Clear Skies After the Storm back in 2011. It seems that Cindy and her husband have had health issues that were Life Threatening. Kathy and I can both relate to that kind of situation. She hasn’t posted recently about her crafts and cooking but we’ll hope that with time she may once again sit at the keyboard so we can see what is happening in her world. Kathy and I hope that you will enjoy following us not only in our travels but in our everyday lives as well.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. We don't plan a lot and have never been bored yet in over 8 years on the road, we just take everyday as it comes and enjoy it.
Have fun and get ready to go.
