Exercise, Hockey, and Visiting.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

After going for a swim with Tyler last night we came back to the apartment where we all rinsed off before relaxing for the night. Relaxing involved having and ice cream cone and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs play against Boston. Tyler was busy explaining what was happening to Kathy and what all the penalties were because she is just learning about the game of hockey due to Tyler’s involvement in the game. Kathy and I then went to the computers to do our evening reading before going to bed.

We were so relaxed that Kathy only woke when she heard Tyler walk by to the bathroom in the night. I didn’t wake until after 7:00 so I decided that would be the perfect time to get up and exercise. I’d already been at it over an hour when first Kathy got up and minutes later so did Tyler.

Since Tyler was playing hockey later we thought it would be perfect to have a slightly heavier breakfast so he’d have digested it before game time. Figuring that it should be a balanced and filling meal but not too heavy we had the perfect breakfast. We had the leftover pizza that we had for supper last night and it truly hit the spot.

Once breakfast was finished I had to hit the shower after my workout. Shortly after 11:00 we were on our way to the Tecumseh Arena where Karen was waiting with Tyler’s equipment. Greg had to work today so grandpa had to help Tyler get his skate laces tighter than he is capable of. This was a first for me and having to stand and bend over to do this really took a toll on my back. Too many back injuries and working inside machines bent over are to blame for that. I managed and he skated his heart out with no problems.
Tyler in the Penalty Box.
Tyler has always played forward ever since he learned to play hockey. His coach decided to help him improve as a forward he should learn to play defense as well because of his speed and agility. The only problem with him playing defense is when an opponent would continually hook or slash him throughout the game he reaches a point where he gives back what he’s getting and he always gets caught. Yes Tyler spent two minutes in the Penalty Box for checking today. Their team is truly improving and walked away with the victory today.

After the game was finished and Karen and Tyler were heading home Kathy and I headed for lunch at A&W. Remember that coupon that I forgot the other day well it got put to good use today. From there we went to the dollar store at the Tecumseh Mall so Kathy could pick up another toiletry item we had forgot to add to our list for the trailer.

Now was time to go visit with Kathie and Ross at their apartment. Kathie was to have a knee replacement done back in early October but it had been delayed to the 31st so when we had stopped in last weekend they weren’t home but their daughter Christine had told us of the changed date. We talked for quite a while about her recovery and how she was feeling as well as when she will be starting Physiotherapy. Even Liam came over to visit because he seems to be drawn to engaging Kathy in conversations that he doesn’t do with anyone else. As we were leaving Dwayne Kathie and Ross’s son came over to say hello. He was in town for a wedding yesterday and was staying at his sister’s apartment until he leaves for home tomorrow.

We enjoyed a latter supper by eating more recreated dishes leftover in the fridge. I later called my friend Ernie to see how he’s doing. He says he is feeling better and that he is doing some chores around the house. We are still praying for him and Cheryl and hope to visit before we leave to go south. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Why was the crab arrested?

Because he was always pinching things.
