An Adjusting Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

For some unknown reason neither Kathy nor I woke at all through the night and if we did we immediately fell back to sleep by simply rolling over. I actually never felt any discomfort to my back and was surprised to see it was 8:00 in the morning before I focused on the clock.

While having our breakfast of coffee and Ego Waffles with mixed berries and whipped cream we watched the Weather Channel. They were showing the temperatures bouncing day after day from warm to cool for the next week before finally cooling down. They are also predicting not only an early but cold and damp winter. Thank Goodness there’s wheels under our trailer.

Mother Nature has a way of telling you that the end of summer has arrived and not just for the school aged children that returned after a last fling on the weekend. Yesterday’s temperature felt like it was in the low 90’s but today somebody turned the heat off. When we went outside it was in the low 60’s and by the afternoon it would only reach the low 70’s. Talk about taking notice and thinking of wearing warmer clothes.

We had just settled in at the computers when the phone rang. It was Wayne the insurance adjuster on his way to see the trailer at the Guardian Storage yard. So within five minutes we were out the door and within ten minutes we were at the trailer speaking with Wayne. He is also an RVer though both he and his wife are still working. After he evaluated the damage he basically told us to bring it where we wanted in Canada or the US. He also agreed that we had a warranty issue to address when we see General RV. We gave him a tour and he was in awe at our modifications. As typical talking to a fellow RVer it was like talking to an old friend.

We arrived back at the apartment just after noon but as we were approaching the entrance the aromas from the Chinese Restaurant became overpowering and since we haven’t been there in nearly a year we changed our plans for lunch. After a delicious Lemon Chicken luncheon special we were well satisfied without being overly full and the bill was less than twenty dollars counting the tip.

Since we left the apartment in a rush this morning we didn’t get a chance to read E-mails or blogs so we sat down to do that but immediately ran into problems because the computers would not go online. Since we returned from our short trip on the 24th of August the DSL has been turned on so after trying other forms of reasoning with the computers (including verbal threats) I thought to simply reboot the modem. I must be catching on to some of the tricks that it takes to run these dumb things in other words adjusting to new technology.

Since we had the equivalent of supper for lunch we enjoyed the homemade chicken noodle soup that Kathy made yesterday for Lunch for Supper. I’m ready to find my winter socks for tonight to keep my feet warm but I know I’ll be wearing my shorts and sandals again tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

My cat got first prize in the budgie show.

That's impossible. Cats don't get prizes in budgie shows.

No, A budgie got the prize and my cat got the budgie.
