Work and Play.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

It may not seem like a big deal to most people but anyone that has Sleep Apnea knows that one of the symptoms is Insomnia which robs you of the sleep that we all need. So last night Kathy finally got herself a decent night’s sleep after all the restless one’s that she has had the rest of the week.

Remember how this week I was actually sleeping quite soundly that is until last night. After tossing around for over an hour I finally got up wide awake and went online to research the manufacture of our Air-Gate that we use on the truck when we are towing our fifth wheel trailer. I also read a few of the blogs that posted late last night before finally going back to bed just before 6:00.

Kathy and I were both wide awake by 8:30 this morning and after our breakfast of hot cereal, a crumpet and coffee we headed back to the computers. After reading E-mails and blogs Kathy started rechecking her expenditure spreadsheet that I had made for her because last night just before she went to bed she found a bunch of receipts that she had forgotten to log in. When I was finished my reading I made a few adjustments to the way I had run the wires on my new desk so that we’ll be able to take the Turbo Hub with us when we travel much easier. When travelling in Canada we’ll just take the Turbo Hub with us to use as our WiFi connection and if we need to call the kids or they need to call us they can simply dial our home phone number and there are no long distance charges even if we’re across the country.

For lunch Kathy warmed up some of the homemade pea soup that she’d made the other day and as I mentioned it always taste better after it rests for a day or more. Even the peaches that she served for dessert were just perfectly ripened to the point they were soft but not mushy and extremely juicy.

I returned to the computer to work on a spreadsheet that I made for keeping track of our doctor’s appointments. It seemed that I had forgotten some entries. Preoccupied with other things as well and still have many more entries to make.

Sitting all day at a computer doesn’t get you much exercise so we decided around 2:00 to head over to the Devonshire Mall for some walking, window shopping and people watching. It amazes us how some people dress these days without looking at themselves in the mirror. Some of today’s fashions would be equal to what we used to dress up for a costume party years ago not for going out in public.

Back at the apartment Kathy finished making a pasta dish and corn to go with the spareribs that she had been cooking in the slow cooker throughout the day for a tasty and satisfying supper.

Tomorrow I’ll find out if Vehicle Venture was able to order the bushings for our Air-Gate if not then I’ll do it myself. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
