Busy Rainy Day and Talking With Friends.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

First and foremost Kathy and I would like to thank everyone for all the Anniversary Greetings. Yesterday I mentioned that when Kathy was asleep in the recliner because of a Sinus congestion I kept waking up and going to check on her to be certain she was breathing. Last night we both went to bed tired as we could be and fell asleep fairly quickly but anyone who has ever been a caregiver for a critically ill loved one will know you sleep lightly and respond to their slightest movement. That was how I slept throughout the night and woke up just as tired this morning as when I went to bed.
During breakfast she kept telling me she’d be alright and if she wasn’t she’d tell me. My next question was how would she do that in the middle of the night. When you start sleeping lightly trying to be helpful to the one you love that is not something you can just turn off.
With the threat of more severe weather heading our way we settled in at the computers this morning. By the time we had our lunch we were starting to feel cooped up and needed to go for a walk. Would you believe just as we were getting in the car the rain started to come down fairly steady.
We headed over to Walmart to do some store walking since we had already been to the two malls in the area recently. We were taking our time and talking about the likes and dislikes of the kids and grandchildren as we walked around and before we knew what was happening we managed to walk out of the store having bought more Christmas gifts. You do know it is only 177 days away from the big day don’t you?
The rain had stopped while we were in the store but started again as we drove back to the apartment. Dropping Kathy off at the nearest door I only got slightly damp while parking the car. Kathy immediately started wrapping the gifts that she has recently accumulated and asked me to make the name tags for them but with a difference from the past. Last year I had posted a picture of the gifts that were already wrapped on the blog and I had made the tags fairly large for ease of reading. Melissa our daughter-in-law thought she could read the name by enlarging the picture. When she read their name she showed Kevin but they kept guessing what it was in that package until Christmas Day. This year the tags are only three inches wide by two inches high so nobody can read them on-line even if they enlarge the picture.
Our friend Gerry Bronstein called to see how we were doing. Kathy had only been able to E-mailed Gerry and Sandy once since our return from Florida. We have traveled around the northeast US together with Gerry and Sandy in our trailers a few times in the last few years. It was nice catching up with what we are all planning and an invite to drop in for a visit.
With the length of the days already starting to get shorter we are hoping to get some summer travels in real soon. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Why did the librarian slip and fall on the library floor?

Because she was in the non-friction section.
