Over Here, Over There.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We both managed to sleep fairly solid throughout the night but strangely we were both wide awake before 8:00 this morning which turned out to be a good thing. We had just finished eating breakfast still in our pajamas when the phone started ringing at 8:20 which is unusual for anyone to be calling us at that time. It was Kylla our granddaughter who asked if I could drive her to school as she’d slept in and didn’t want to be late. As promised I was there in ten minutes and within another ten I was dropping her off at school with a big thank you from her.
Back at the apartment Kathy was still on her computer so we made a list of the places we needed to go today. I took the time to read a few posts we follow before I jumped in the shower to freshen up. By 10:00 we were on our way out the door with our list of errands. One thing we do is make the list first then I look at the list and put a number of the order that we’ll do them so as to avoid bouncing back and forth across town.
We started with a list of eight stops counting things like Shoppers Drug Mart, the Credit Union, U-Haul, and Canadian Tire all before we could stop for an early lunch at Taco Bell. Since Canadian Tire had been a bust we needed to stop at a second location on Walker Road where we were much more successful. We continued our search for other things and ended up at Kathy’s doctor’s office, Home Sense and Target before we lucked out again.
Our next stop was to get our hair cut at Fantastic Sam’s Hair Shop but Jenna our hair stylist wouldn’t arrive for another hour so we decided to go for a coffee. We travelled up the road to Tim Horton’s where we each order a coffee and donut since it was nearly three hours since we’d had lunch. We enjoyed the sweets and were sipping our coffees as we talked of different things when one of the workers came out with a tray of Ice Cream Cupcakes as a promotional sampling. Tim Horton’s has their own brand of Ice Cream treats called Cold Stone and it was new to this particular location so what better way to drum up business but to give away free samples. Did I tell you how good they tasted?
We arrived back at Fantastic Sam’s just as Jenna arrived. Being we were her first two appointments we were out of there in less than an hour after Kathy got her hair washed and styled and I got mine cut.
Our last stop of the day was at the Walmart near our end of the city. We went in looking for a single TV table that was out of stock but we also planned on picking up a few groceries. Those few groceries turned into a cart full because things we wanted were on sale. Kathy had also planned on going to the grocery store later this evening but didn’t have to because Walmart had the same items on sale for a much lower price.
Back at the apartment we loaded one of the shopping carts for Kathy to take upstairs while I parked the car. By the time I parked the car and gathered a few other things that didn’t fit in the shopping cart and brought them upstairs I was shocked that Kathy hadn’t arrived yet. I headed for the elevators and waited for her to arrive. One of the elevators was being repaired and was down.
I unloaded the frozen foods then the perishable foods first before unloading everything else. Next I turned on the TV as the 6 o’clock News was just starting. I brought our recycle downstairs as I returned the cart.  When I got back upstairs Kathy finished putting away the groceries before making our supper. Needlessly we missed the news but we can watch it later.
After making fourteen stops today we are hoping tomorrow is a little slower. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
