Early Christmas Celebration

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Christmas is now only 10 days away and when we drove by the Tecumseh Mall this morning at 9:45 we couldn’t see an empty parking spot anywhere. The reason for driving by was we were on our way to see the surgeon regarding my hernia. After the consultation I was immediately booked for the earliest possible date for surgery the 19th of June. I still needed to get a blood test done today and a CT Scan that will take place in May before the surgery is done to make sure we are only dealing with one hernia and not two.
By the time I was done with the blood test we stopped for a 2 for 1 special for lunch at A&W as we were both pretty hungry and we had eaten a light breakfast earlier than our normal time.
Afterwards we went back to the apartment to read blogs and rest before going over to Kathie and Ross’s to celebrate an early Christmas meal. Their son Dwayne was home from out of town and won’t be able to be home on Christmas Day because of his job. It was a great visit as Dwayne and I always have connected and we somewhat talked shop even though our jobs are very different.

After a wonderful turkey dinner with all the trimmings we all shared some laughs and memories of years gone by. Of course there were also some Christmas gifts that needed to be delivered to Liam that just happened to be at our house. By this time our meals had settled down enough for all of us to enjoy the cake that Kathy and I had baked for the occasion yesterday. Kathy didn’t know that it was Dwayne’s favorite so he ended up with an extra large piece on his plate that he inhaled with no problem.
Liam excited over his gifts from aunt Kathy and uncle Richard.
Once the kids left for the night our visit with Kathie and Ross continued on for a while longer until it was time to say good night with the promise of getting together again soon. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
