Wash and Wax.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

With a bit more sleep last night I was able to wake before 8:00 this morning. Kathy wasn’t too happy when I rousted her from her deep sleep though but she wanted to come along.
After breakfast we had to pick up our granddaughter Kylla for the second time this week to bring to her family doctor. A few weeks ago she was experiencing severe abdominal pains and had to go for an Ultra Sound. The town of Tecumseh has a new medical building and her doctor moved from his old location into this new building on the weekend.
Kylla admires her grandmother Kathy so they saw the doctor together about the results which were basically inconclusive. The only way they will really find the problem is if she has another attack and everyone is hoping that doesn’t happen. We stopped for a coffee and muffins on the way to bring Kylla to school since she hadn’t had her breakfast yet.
After dropping Kylla at school we came back to the apartment where I had plans to wax the truck and car. Unfortunately the owners of the building are doing a number of upgrades to the complex. The dust from the contractors had totally covered all the vehicles in the parking lot which meant the vehicle washing I did on Friday didn’t show.
We had a late lunch because of our snack so I had rewashed both vehicles and parked them at the far end of the lot. Also since the wind today was blowing from the south-west the dust was blowing away from the car and truck.
I was hungry by then and needing a break. Kathy had been cooking and cleaning in the apartment and had a wonderful meal ready when I came in around 1:30. I had the truck completely waxed and polished by the time I came in for supper at 5:00. I finished waxing and polishing the car by the time I came in for the night at 6:40.
A strange thing happened while I was waxing the truck. If you look at our header picture you will note we have a splash brush on the back of the truck to protect the trailer from debris that might be thrown from the rear tires. A woman who was walking her dog in the nearby park asked me why our truck was wearing a dress???? I explained what the brush was for.
After supper Kathy had finished wrapping the last of the Christmas gifts we have here at the apartment. Maybe tomorrow we’ll get more shopping finished because we don’t like waiting for the last minute and there is only 81 days left before Christmas.
Tonight I believe I’ll have no trouble sleeping after all the fresh air and exercise I had outside today. Thanks for following along with us and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  2. Nice to get the vehicles all washed and waxed, helps to preserve them. We have the dirt skirt on our coach to, and it does protect our little car.
