Busy Frustrating Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We both slept until almost 9:00 this morning. Of course when you sleep less than half the night it is acceptable.  As some of the comments on last night’s blog stated maybe we should be spending much more time in the trailer than the apartment so we will sleep better. I hate to have to think of it but we have to wait another 13 days before our next adventure begins.

I spent most of the morning talking with Pilot/Flying J. Kathy and I have their RV Plus card which is a credit card with a low limit which we prefer but it also acts as a discount card when used. When traveling in Canada or the U.S.A. it gives us discounts on gasoline, diesel, propane, dumping service and in-store purchases. It helps us make our money go further so we can do more of the things we want to do.

Being that we are Canadian citizens the way we pay our fuel bill is trickier than if we had a U.S. account across the border.  Last month they E-mailed us all the directions on how to make it work from our Canadian bank account. No matter how often we entered the information the process would not work. Finally after five calls I spoke with Evelyn who filled in the entries from her end and the transaction went through. Aren’t computers just great? NOT!

After lunch Kathy ran some errands while I continued making progress on redeeming some of our points cards. By the time she returned with some groceries I had that almost completed. I continued working on the computer making changes to the gadgets on the sidebar of our blog.

After supper we headed out to Amherstburg for our Wednesday evening visit with our son Kevin and Melissa our Daughter-in-law. We had a lot of catching up to do of things that have been happening since we haven’t had a visit with them long before we went away for the weekend with our grandsons.
Tyler and Matthew War of 1812 Re-Enactment Weekend
Kathy and I had a little bit of a laugh today when someone made a comment thinking that we are sometimes on the road for extended periods of time. Boy do we wish we could be but unfortunately we haven’t won any lotteries nor did any long lost uncle leave us his estate. What is deceiving is that a trip might last for a week or weekend but the number of photos taken are filed away and used when you have no pictures of the day to post.

Tomorrow I’ll be taking the truck in for an oil change and Kathy will tag along so we can look around for more ideas for Christmas gifts which have to be wrapped and put away because it is only 124 days left until Christmas Day. Be Safe and Enjoy! Thanks for following our adventures.

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

The boss caught the female filing clerk and the stock boy

in the back of the supply closet during a coffee break.

Angrily, the boss said, "Explain this."

The filing clerk said, "Well, neither of us likes coffee."

  1. Nice that you got all those cards and computer issues straightened out.

For us fulltiming is the least expensive lifestyle that there is. We have access to over 700 membership parks, 90 with free camping, 200 at $10, a night, more at $9.00 a night, hundreds for half price or less. And quiet a few areas for free overnight stays.
Fuel for our coach is minimal because we don't need to leave and come home again. And our toad gets almost 40 mpg.
